"Immediately after financing a new-used vehicle (see my review of Kia of Coatesville and my excellent experience with their staff and motors), it was time to switch auto insurance carriers as the one I was under at the time, Amica, decided to try to keep charging me 'lease vehicle' rates, which, as many know, are often more than one's monthly lease payment, and I had not been involved in a collision or driver/vehicle infraction in decades. Switching to State Farm was probably the quickest, easiest, most pleasant insurance experience I've had in dealing with insurance carriers and their representatives. It was this simple: - Phoned State Farm (which lists a local number, oddly comforting) and spoke to a very helpful representative who was attentive and did not sound as though they were seated in a call center with 1000 other screaming reps. They initially only asked me for two pieces of information and indicated I would be contacted in regards to a quote. - I received a quote about one hour later via email. - The quote was a third of the price I was currently paying for the same coverage from Amica. - I contacted State Farm the following Monday and spoke to the same representative, rather than a random person I have to start the details with all over again as was often the case with other carriers. She asked for the remaining details to start the policy and with half an hour it was effective and I had ID cards. - The big surprise; the cost of the policy was EXACTLY what they had originally sent me in the quote. I've probably had four or five carriers over the years and in almost every instance the quote and actual monthly payment varied (monthly payment somehow always ended up being more than the quote). Thank you State Farm. The first representative was the last representative I spoke to and they kept me informed along each step of the process. The old school feeling of having one agent familiar with your policy goes a long way. Highly recommended if you have been with an insurance carrier for years and feel like you're paying too much per your driving history and/or are getting gouged for insurance on a leased vehicle."
